Sunday May 29, 2016

We started the day with breakfast at our hotel.  The bar converted to breakfast bar and they had a good selection. I am enjoying the soft boiled eggs and very good bread.  They also have great coffee.
We were lucky and our borrowed bikes were right where we left them. We headed downtown to the HIstorical Museum.

Oops this one is upside down and I am not sure how to turn it!

One of the displays was an incredible photo display where they had merged an old picture with a new one in the same location.  This one is looking down a street that we saw.
My picture!
They had a "photo booth" where you could put on clothes and use a back drop from long ago.
The museum is partially located in old school.
Part of the museum was a beautiful garden where they had many local plants that would have been around for a long time.  They showed how they would have been used to cure ailments etc.
Including these that I recognized!  I haven't seen them labelled before though.

Kirstine Lund took photos of our family. It helped us track down where they came from.

A camera like she may have used.

They have an old shop set up.

We are proud of our Canadian cities that celebrate 100 or 125 years. Hjorring celebrated 750 years in 1993!
We rode  through the park again and through some woods.
