We took our suitcases to the station to put them in a locker until Thursday as we have headed south again to check out where my great grandfather Jens Christian Jensen cam from. We then had to take the car back so we filled it up with gas - which is about twice the price as in Canada.
15.64 litres for 154 Kroner - about $30.
Then we walked back to the station to catch the train Aalborg.
Bikes are used a great deal here and the bike lanes and paths etc fascinated me. Here on the roundabout there is a bike lane even and they have their own turn signals.
And bikes have special parking - sometimes two storey!
We haven't had much luck with computers on this trip. We were planning on getting our travel passes at the station. Their computers were down. There was a phone you could call and. Could get them sent by text. The lady on the phone didn't know anything about them and thought we wanted international travel - no just around North Jutland. Leila has an international top up on her phone for the trip so we tried to get them that way - more grief. Finally I saw a group of train ticket collectors waiting for the train and we asked them. One got on the phone and they confirmed that the ticket had been paid for just not reached our phones. Eventually she came right to the office in Aalborg to help sort this out - everyone has been so helpful.
We made it to our B and B in Hadsund. We borrowed bikes and headed back into town to go to the museum. We got there with only 10 minutes of opening time so we will head back tomorrow. Where we are staying we have access to a full kitchen so picked up food for supper and headed home after sitting by the fjord for a little.
